lallen - I really do not understand your point on a recount - most states provide such a statute to be used in very close elections - even Texas - Bush's own state. How can someone STEAL an election now by a recount. Those votes are under lock and key and held tightly under guard. I agree with your statement, "Once the absentee ballots are all in the count should be finalized and the winner declared. Period" But I see no reason why a manual recount should be a problem for either side. Would you care to elaborate?
