The sadness for W is that deep down when he looks in the mirror, he will know that not only did he lose the popular nationwide vote but he likely also lost the "moral" vote in Florida-moral in the sense of including the "intentions" of all those who left home last Tues intending to register their vote for person x but somehow screwing it up when they got into the booth.

This is spurious argument put out by Gore supporters who wish to win at ANY cost to the country.

What about the Republican county with 20,000 votes not registering for presidentm, and not in the recount?

What about the people in the panhandle who left polling places or did not go at all after finding out through the news media that Gore had won?

What about the Democratic supporters in the Haitian community who posted Gore placards inside polling booths, threatened voters, and actually told voters the button to push inside of the polling places?

And who lost the moral vote here?????
