First, they are called rules. Both sides agree to play by them. You don't change them if at some point later they don't yield the result you want. I agree with you that you have to have rules and laws. Second, the count was fair. Its not perfect and it may never be, but all over the country the same potential exists. Are you going to recount them all? And keep in mind that has two edges and might cut the man with the razor on the flip side. Hand counts are extrememly common in close races. Bush is so far off with his court challenge that I am amazed that your partisanship has blinded you to its outgrageousness. If Bush has more votes than Gore, Bush wins. Why can't we just find out who has more votes? Being afraid of the outcome is no excuse. Third, what exactly is different about how Gore or Bush acted that one has honor and one does not? Bush decried the Gore camp for even thinking about invloving the court system TWO DAYS AGO!!!! Now, Bush is in Federal Court asking a judge to intervene and stop a hand count of votes! Bush is giving America a lesson in brazen hypocrisy! Fourth, you don't know why "a lot of people voted for Bush" anymore than I do. People voted for their reasons, not yours. Polls taken before and after the election that much of Bush's base was derived from those who thought Bush possessed the qualities I outlined. Are admitting that Bush lacks those qualities. It would be the most rational thing you have posted today!
