good points gooch. probably good for gop to not request handcounts...to do so would support the dem's overall approach. i can't understand how hand counts could be more accurate than the two counts we've already had...in the private sector, for example, we have reliable computerized procedures to perform sophisticated financial analysis that is very prcise/reliable. could it be the govt hasn't put a reasonable computer system together to simply count votes? if so, when do you think we might have one for the next prez election? i think an average programmer could develop the system in a few hours.
