You have misread the intent here...the Republicans did not initially object to a manual recount...until it was confirmed that the previously thrown out votes were going to be reopened and counted based on a voter's intent...all at the discretion of the people doing the counting. In these heavily Democratic precincts...what would you surmise the outcome.

The "rule of law" is that these ballots get thrown out. They were thrown out for the first 2 counts...now apparently the rules have changed...thus the need to seek an injunction.
