I think the official count of the Electors vote by Congress will be postponed, and Denny Hastert, Speaker of the House, will become acting President.

The alternative, disqualifying Florida's votes, would mean that almost 6 million Floridians will be disenfranchised.

It would also mean that both candidates will start filing legal actions to disqualify the Electors in states they didn't win in, and where will that end? Gore can't win that fight, the House has a Republican majority, and the House would pick Bush.
