Hi Greg,

After thinking about it, until there is a smidge of evidence that Bush is going to be the next President, the Markets are absolutely at the Mercy of the Houses because there will be no upward pressure from buying.. Generally when they see a mini-crsis they are shark like because they know things will be rectified soon and that short lived crisis presents an opportunity for rich returns. I am convinced this is what transpired with the downgrades in the computer and chip sector Thursday and Friday. I am convinced the Houses viewed this as a short term problem presenting them a golden opportunity.

The problem now is not the crisis, but what will be the Time Capsule for this debacle. I at first felt it would be short lived, I am not convinced of that now. This could be somewhat stabilizing from the Houses standpoint because once they begin to see there is an inherent danger to their inventories over a longer period, it gives them pause and it could give them reason to stabilize.

SO - what bet do I make?

I am going to put the House theory to test and go with my second contention, THE HOUSES STABILIZE AFTER A LITTLE MORE DOWNWARD PRESSURE -

I SAY WE FINISH NO LOWER ON THE NAZ THAN 150 points from where we closed on Friday between now and Jan. as opposed to your contention we keep going lower and lower and lower.

What say - a bottle of Dom?
