The articles I read on this were completely different, which was, she did not say she couldn't take money from "Arab-Americans", but rather, she had specifically said, "I can't accept money from <insert the fella's name, a business guy, who is well-known for sponsoring a group to kill Jews>."
Her statement had nothing to do about "Arab-Americans," but everything to do with this particular person's belief. Accepting money from someone who funds money to a well-known organization that supports killing XYZ (insert any ethnic group), would not have been appropriate.
So, it appears your news source may have incorrectly quoted her and exchanged the person's name for "Arab-Americans".
