X, it has NOTHING to do with being "anti-gay" and EVERYTHING to do with giving kids half a shot at having a hetero-sexual lifestyle, that eventually leads to marriage and a family of their own. What they do after being given that "shot" is their own business.
After all, the last time I checked, it took a man and woman to have a kid, which is the ultimate purpose of sex in the first place.
The point is that THE GOVERNMENT HAS NO PURPOSE IN PAYING FOR OR ADVOCATING those things which undermine the fabric of society, namely family units.
And if you think that seminar, PAID FOR WITH TAXPAYER DOLLARS is silly, I suggest you ask that question to your friends.
Or better yet, why don't you organize a similar seminar and invite your friends and family, and their kids, to attend.
Then see how silly THEY think it is...
Just the very fact that you don't find it offensive that a state department of education would spend tax dollars to teach alternative sexual techniques and lifestyles to adolescents is EVERY REASON that people should be voting for Bush. It is further indication that changes are going too far, too fast, with little regard for the American family
This is not the government's role. If people have such a demand for such "education", then let them fund it themselves and present it in a private forum.
I don't give a crap if people are homosexual. Hell, I used to have a lesbian as a roomate and she completely agreed that children should not be exposed to alternative sexual lifestyles. She felt they could figure it out for themselves after they became adults.
I don't care what people do with their own lives. But it is when they expect the government to advance their agenda for them that I get a bit upset.
When gays can start having children naturally without medical manipulation, then we can re-assess the situation. But for the moment, the family unit needs all the support it can get.
And people like you who condone this type are part of the problem. |
