Eventually somebody is going to have to deal with the real problems facing First Nations. In this instance the white man really did create the problem and he has to help the Indian deal with it. Indidual aspects of tribal cultures are lost. Most Cree kids can't understand Cree, at least any I've met. There has been a Pan-Indian movement in progress for a long time and Natives pick and choose from the whole spectrum of beliefs that span Indian cultures. Indians probably have a much stronger social identity than the rest of us. I heard Cretien on the CBC last night. I am convinced he is not mentally fit to be Prime Minister. On second thought mental fitness has never been a prerequisite to be Prime Minister.
