Bush is objecting to a triple recounting of 4 counties in Florida, which are heavily democratic. Double recounting is enough... Lord knows that there is tremendous evidence of improprieties in New Mexico and Wisconsin, both close count votes that Gore carried. The design of the Palm Beach ballot is irrelevant. The fact is that EVERYONE in Palm Beach was mailed a SAMPLE BALLOT WHICH THEY WERE PERMITTED TO FILL OUT AND CARRY WITH THEM INTO THE VOTING BOOTH. Who's fault is it that they didn't do so, ours or theirs?
