Democrats controlled both houses of congress and wrote the deficit spending into the legislation. They added trillions to each Reagan proposed budget.

True Reagan signed the budget. Also true is the fact that he allowed the government to shut down twice in order to get the democrats to remove their pork barrel spending to a degree.

Up until the 1996 election when the Republicans won control of both houses........it had been exclusively run by the Democrats for all but 4 of the past 60 years.

Since the 1940s the Democrats have written and passed all of our tax laws which have risen from 2% to a near 58% ceiling to date. They also have rewritten every single budget over that same time frame.

You need to get your facts straight.
