I don't think that is the view of most 1st-generation Koreans. Then again, a lot of them aren't even citizens yet, so I guess the point is moot (except in Florida, where I'll bet there are more than just 300 Korean-American citizens who could have voted, but didn't).

Another reason why 1st-generation Koreans might vote Republican (among those who can vote) would be their impression that the GOP is more for conservative values than the Dems. Korean culture is generally very conservative. This has been changing over the past few decades, but that change would affect us 2nd-generationers, not our elders.
