agreed. but, i think a statewide handcount will raise more questions; as there will be changes cause humans are less accurate than machines. as such, teh loser of that will have grounds for a second hand count which, i can almost guarantee, will show a large enough change from teh first hand count to possibly give a different winner than the first hand count (this is a damn close election- we can all agree on that). so then what, go for best 2 out of 3 on handcounts? we've already done that with machine counts- bush won the first 2. returns us to my original point- once you (ie: gore) opens up this can of worms, where do you stop?
