Vendit, then I'm really confused...my memory isn't that it was only the first two years...took a trip to the senate.gov site, couldn't find a straight forward resolution, but I did find this link senate.gov

I think we can agree that the Senate site would be objective on this matter.

A little bit of work, click on the chrono list and look at the vote count in the senate and I come up with quite a few more years than 2; I come up with 6 years of Republican majority in the Senate during the Reagan terms [Coincidently that's what I remembered]. Is the site incorrect? Am I looking at the wrong years?

Let's get the facts straight on the Reagan Administration before we move on to Bush.
