I respect Gore for taking a stand against tobacco as it destroys many many lives. And he was willing to give up the votes of his own state because of his beliefs? Now there's a man I admire. Anyone want to discuss what Bush wants to do to our countries precious resources feel free! And why does he want to do this? Because his oil buddies and other business friends who donated big campaign $$$ want have some big $$$$ plans...He wouldn't stand up for protecting our earth against them, as he would lose their support and possibly the state of Texas as Al Gore lost Tennessee. He believes more in oil & business profits than protecting the planet we live on for future generations. This fact cannot be denied as anyone who would drill for oil in a protective wildlife refuge cares only about one thing... Oh yeah, further destructive logging of our national forests - another good idea. And for $$$$$$$ also. And while your at it, why not just kill the little power the EPA has as far as protecting us from the toxic waste of big business. That's for $$$$$$$$$$ too of course, as his buddies who donated big bucks to the campaign need to be paid back now with big favors... fortune.com
