I know you were just joking.
So was I.

can anyone tell me that in such a highly populated state, you couldn't come up with a halfway decent candidate to oppose someone from ARKANSAS?

We did.
We had a great candidate.
Rudolph Giuliani has been the best Mayor this city has ever had.
He has completely turned it around.
He has been labled a control freak, a power monger, and many other choice names.
However, nothing would have ever gotten done around here without his methods.

Unfortunately, his wife decided to not act like Hillary.
Instead of going for the ride, she decided to divorce him for allegedly cheating on her...
He then backed out of the race supposedly to fight earliest stages of prostate cancer, just before the divorce proceedings were to get ugly...

Anyhow, this dude Lazio was previously unheard of.
He was trying to make a name for himself by running against Giuliani in the Republican primary.

Lazio ended up getting the nomination when Rudy had to drop out.

This is why we couldn't come up with anyone better.
Under short notice, who else was there?

I'm still angry Rudy Giuliani couldn't keep it in his pants...

Rumor has it that he will run for governor of NY in the next election.
I hope so.
He is a great politician.
