Well then why doesn't the Republican Party suggest that this be done in all those precincts throughout the nation where the race was close (and they lost) and where "changes could effect the outcome".

Good idea. In fact, the Republicans are doing just that. Fat lot of good it will do them; they can fight for those New Mexico and Wisconsin electoral votes all they want but it won't affect the national outcome, while Florida will. But rest assured that the Republicans are fighting this battle with everything they've got. You can call it contentious, but it is the Republicans who have first taken their contentions to the courts.

For the rest of us, let's just put our party hats on, sit back, and enjoy the circus!
