OMD,

I expect few to agree with my take. I think this because I have spent may years of my life in less than metropolitan parts of the country and have seen a healthy exhibit of this behavior.

A large percentage of rural Americans hold a grudge unlike we more urban folk can imagine. And, they have had multiple generations of examples to learn from.

I don't say this is good.

I agree that neither candidate was the "best man" for the job. And yes, we will most probably survive Gore. But there will be backlash due to his methods of winning. Most people can stand a loss, few can accept less than honorable methods of winning.

THe mind of man is odd in its formation of attitudes. Gore methods will do some damage. Hopefully enough damage to make the future better by way of that extra effort by those of us who now do less than needed, yet so little as to make the system spoil. I suppose we will just have to wait it out.

Both, as you say, will have a tough time getting the job done. My best guess, all efforts being good for the whole, Bush would accomplish more.

For now, I'm gonna go watch a movie.........

Nice bumping into you again.......you Dog ..you.
