Machines are impartial, humans are not. You are wrong. The technology used to produce and tabulate votes in most of Florida produces routinely errors of the order of 1%. That's 60,000 votes out of the 6 million cast for the presidency. Human recounts are very careful and deliberate affairs that include an equal number of counters and observers from both parties and look ONLY at ballots rejected by the machine as invalid. These recounts produce quite accurate results and actually reduce the 1% machine error to a few hundredths of 1%. If you genuinely want the will of the people to prevail, you must love hand recounts in very very close elections. And this elections is certainly very very very close. BTW the state of Texas has hand recounts too. Kyros
