I did not write down all the different combinations that were described in the ballots that had more than one candidate punched, but I did NOT hear any numbers to support the theory that people were confused and voted consistently for Buchanan then punched Gore when they realized their mistake. Is that not what all of this recount business has been based on, that the people were somehow confused or tricked into voting for Buchanan and then punched Gore to try to rectify the mistake?
