I hope my friends in Canuckistan...ERRR, CANADA, are accepting American emmigrants (Republicans) under political asylum!!!<G, I think> Yes, we're quite aware of the situation. The Canadian Department of Immigration has been accepting applications since last Wednesday from US citizens who wish to be granted political asylum. However, as the instructions clearly specify you must pick one and only one province on the application. Apparently, a large number of applicants have been selecting two provinces. These applications have been rejected. Other applicants are complaining that they may have mistakenly marked one province on the application but really meant to select a different one. For example George Dumbkoff of Palm Beach Florida complained "I want to move to Alberta but I think I may have marked Quebec by mistake and I don't even speak French!" Late tonight the Prime Minister decided that it is evident that these people will likely put a huge strain on our social services so he has ordered all border checkpoints closed as of midnight.
