There was a 19 vote advantage for Gore in that county after 1% was counted. In Polk county there was a 100 vote advantage for Bush when 50% ballots where hand counted. The fact that all of the different types of punch-hole mistakes have been described in detail tells me that both sides knew there was a margin for error before the election. This calls into question every past election ever held in areas where a punch-hole ballot was used. Although I think Bush made a PR mistake by taking the hand count to court it has been obvious since day one that the Gore Campaign has been looking for a street fight - I'd give it to them....those tax lovin' pos f*ckers.
