on FL absentees, how many are there? .. more than expected

heard on CNN last night that Manatee County had already received over 300 absentee ballots
not sent out, BUT RECEIVED

Manatee is FtMyers
I could be wrong about Manatee County, but it was described as a smaller county
Florida has 67 counties

Florida may have 25,000 absentee ballots to count
California might be similar to FL in makeup of absentees coming largely from military and overseas business folks
I also think Florida might have many absentees retirees who are still up north with family
Thanksgvg marks the primetime for SnowBirds to migrate south

Calif has said that absentees are going 2:1 for Bush so far, narrowing the lead enough possibly to warrant removing the state and its 54 ECvotes from the Gore column

if Florida'a absentees come in almost 2:1 Bush over Gore, then much of what we have seen in WPalmBch might be irrelevant

if FL Absentees give Bush a +3000 or +5000 lift, who cares about all the illiterates, crybabies, feeble fingered elderly, confused conmen, and otherwise spoiled brat disenfranchised boobs in WestPalm ???
