Well, the first one appears to be a building block patent to CDMA. Basically, the inventive step of this patent is when u receive an incoming signal, the rate with which the signal was encoded is unknown since the bitrate is not encoded within the signal. The receiver will then estimate the bitrate in order to decode this signal.

It appears that persons description of patent #1 is correct.

I have given my opinion of patent #3, for patent #2, i forgot what he said, and football is coming on. oh yeha, i remember he was talking about multi-mode, multi frequency handsets. IMO, i think he is reading quite a bit of technology into the patent.

I would consult with Clark Hare, Engineer, or Ingenuous about these three. IMO, i believe that they would agree with my assessment of #3. The other two, it's a toss-up..
