Ray - I just read on cnn.com a scenario that I think will probably work. If this matter is still in dispute on December 18, then both the Democrat Electors and the Republican Electors should meet in Tallahassee and vote, and let Congress decide which ones are the REAL Electors. I realize that Congress is more Republican, but the facts are the facts, so I believe that if Gore's win is fair and square or vice versa if Bush's win is fair and square, Congress will Do The Right Thing.

This answers the question of what happens if Florida's Electors don't vote, which is problematic as we have already discussed. Last night I was ready to send Republican litigants to every state that Gore won so no one could vote, because Gore had a majority of Electors without Florida, but now I've changed my mind. If there's an honest dispute about which Electors vote is legitimate, let Congress sort it out.
