I'd have to disagree. I think most people don't know how to read financial statements. One of the prominent Cisco bulls on that thread unwittingly displayed his ignorance of inventory turns, which I imagine is quite common.

The reason that they aren't a topic of debate here is that they mainly revolve around accounting methodology, which isn't the primary focus of this thread

If only it were that simple. Reducing all accounting questions to "methodology" makes sound like this is all just concern about technicalities. It's not.

I cannot believe that somebody can be considered a fundamentalist if they do not look at accounting issues.

but it will take a much longer timeline to see if the momentum approach you've adopted will yield greater returns than ltb&h

My gains since April 99 are over 5000%, after taxes and after realizing most gains. I agree it will take a much longer time for a LTBH approach to equal those returns.
