This is otherwise known as thinking inside the box. This year has shown that people who think inside a box usually have to pay for it.

I was responding to UF's point about LTBH, as he seems to doubt my approach works too well over a period of time. My point is, it has been successful enough that I can wait awhile. You'll notice I mention no dollar amounts, nor have I in the past. I have also never mentioned buying a Mercedes or a hot tub or any conspicuous consumption items on a thread (other than a cappuccino maker, a guilty pleasure). If you want to consider that bragging, fine. I think your reaction is more an indication of your own prejudices than anything else. Last year, LindyBill gave a detailed explanation of how he became a millionaire and everybody thought that was dandy. The reaction all comes down to context--whether somebody is part of your group or not. Those who try not to belong to a particular group or think outside the box are usually villified.
