Skeets, I don't know any details about the 26k republican-area ballots you say were tossed. If that's so, I don't understand why the republicans weren't calling for a recount instead of a) trying to hold onto a noise-level lead, and b) suddenly trying to pretend that manual recounts are unamerican. Talk about circumstantial ethics!
