OT: For the record--

The NAZ will continue to crumble through Thanksgiving, although maybe not down as far as 2200-2500. I understand that many institutional funds are not permitted to change their asset allocation midstream; thus, they have to maintain a certain level of assets in tech, and this alone should serve to buoy up several of the darlings. If a lot of money HAS to be invested in tech until either regular or emergency changes are made to their allocations, then there is a life raft floating under INTC, CSCO, MSFT etc. (Probably not under AAPL or DELL, imho.)

This election has become a street brawl. The Democrat line has now become, "So what if the Palm Beach challenge is totally corrupt and anti-democratic? The Republicans would do the same thing in our shoes." We can stipulate as to the first item and must find the second statement to be mere conjecture about something which has not happened and may never happen.

I don't care if Paul Erdman thinks this isn't going to be a constitutional crisis; I hope he's right, but I think we are as close to a CC as ever in my lifetime. Nixon's resignation and the Clinton peccadillo impeachment were regular functions of the constitution. We shall see about this; my view is this does not end without some form of mayhem.

Isopatch is to the right of me, so if someone wants to call him an "extremist," that's okay. (vbg.)

We are entering extreme uncertainty, ask yourself two questions: do you know your limitations, and do you feel lucky (credit to Clint).
