stupid? glib? I think you feel that elections are some sort of parlor trick to see how many people can be fooled. I see them as a national reforendum on the country's leadership. It's pretty clear that in Florida at least Al Gore was the preferred candidate of the majority of the voters. Bush may have been able to turn a crank and make more votes fall out of the machines on first try, but that doesn't make him a winner.
