someone will have to give up his stand to settle this. Then we need to modernize the voting system, so even Scumbria won't be able to dispute the outcome. Now that would be one helluva system.

Exactly. These sorts of confrontations are sometimes required to get things fixed. In this day and age of digital communications, there are no excuses for this kind of crap.

Of course, it would also be nice if I could get my cell phone to work in downtown Palo Alto.
