RIMM 957 I have been using the RIMM 957 and am totally blown away. amazing battery life and the "always on" wireless functionality is very addictive. Minus would be the lack of an infared port. What is the O/S for this? Some homebrewed thing RIMM came up with? What is the wireless interface? It is described as Radio; what frequency does it use, and what is the technology? How come Blackberry has pretty solid coverage, but Metricom (wireless internet service) is still having problems getting its WAPs hung on poles outside of the Bay area, Seattle, and DC? I was about 15 minutes outside of SFO when we started a descent. Had no problem sending/receiving email (probably many thousand feet up). I of course as the FAA requires shut it off at the 10-minute mark outside SFO. saukriver
