<<mishedlo, If we are going to have a manual recount we just cannot have the Democrats or Republicans pick and choose which counties they want to have manually recounted. If we do a manual recount, then we must do a manual recount for the entire state. If we do a manual recount for the entire state of Florida, then it would only be fair to do a manual recount for the entire United States. Then if it's close, it would only be fair to do a second manual recount for the entire United States.>>
Richard, personally I am in favor of a recount in every county in Florida.
However, to those that have been "harping the LAW" about the 19,000 ballots, double voting etc etc etc, Perhaps I say it is your turn to consider the LAW!! Florida law gives a candidate so long to file for a recount. Bush did not do it. Now Bush is trying to subvert Florida law by stopping the recount when he signed such a law himself. I believe he looks really stupid here.
You either want to follow the law or not. Zeev and I had a different staandard "will of the people". For those that wanted to follow the legal letter of the law, I AM NOW WILLING.
You can not have it both ways. Let's follow the law, have recounts as required by law, no more no less. In spite of my sense of fairness that says yes indeed the whole state should be recounted, to those who touted the "law" I say tough luck.
Please Richard, I do not mean this in an offensive manner. I am not trying to get your goat purposely, I am trying to show that people change their opinions as it suits there politics, when the law is on their side they are in favor of it, when not they are willing to bend. |
