Larry, you're getting close. Yes people should save
the file to a temporary directory. That is a self-extracting
file that will install the software. Once the software is
installed run it.

In the Data Manager under the receiver, communications,
you must check the IP box and enter the IP node name -
in this case signal.dbc.com. It is here also under password
you must enter the username / password. At that point it
will attempt to connect over the Interent to the server if
you are online on the internet.

With all this set it will rememeber it and you will not have to
reenter it.

I have passed these comments on so we can attempt to
make it clearer on the web site.
