Jim, WHAT A CROCK! Show me where it was ever proven Nixon was responsible for masterminding the watergate break-in... Proven? If he wasn't involved, he would have turned Liddy and his band of slimeballs in to the police immediately. No innocent person would subject himself to that kind of risk to protect a bunch of lowlifes like that, particularly not the President of the US. Nixon's mistake was trying to cover it up and lying about it...well after the fact. This was 1972. Some stupid liberal made that comment in 1974, and it has perverted the perception of Watergate ever since. Watergate was an attempt to undermine the election. Nixon was involved.
