Heck I was hanging out at demonstrations against Nixon in college at the time but your contention that Nixon ordered the Watergate break-in is just plain unproven and likely not true... My point was that even a "crook" like Nixon knew when to call it "over". The fact that Gore and now Buch are going to drag this through the courts says volumes about what's happened to America in the last 28 years.
