I saw the settlement conference date on Yahoo!

According to the court docket there have been several settlement conferences which appear to be supervised by the court. The judge mentioned in the post you linked is not familiar to me. There is one primary jugde (Judge Breyer) and two others that have filled in for him presumably in his absence. Neither are listed on the Yahoo! link.

The file number is, indeed, the patent infringement case that SanDisk iniated against Lexar in 1998.

I am not sure what to make of this development.
