Why would the Texas Governor have had all of it's power stripped away and those states governors didn't. I studied Texas history & government, not those of Georgia and Arkansas. Texas was it's own country and so had some special traditions, but I don't know what went on in detail in the rest of the south after the Civil War. Didn't they make you study state history? TP
