I'm feeling like Skeeter. Gore has successfully stolen the election. I'm looking for some ray of hope for Bush's next move.

I see. If the absentee ballots plus the recounts put Bush up by 20 votes, justice is served, but if they put Gore up by 20 votes, the election has been stolen? Get a grip, man.

There is some evidence that slightly more people in Florida voted for Gore than Bush. Sorry if this rains on your parade.

But I offer you this comfort: at this point, you almost should be rooting for the opposition candidate. Whoever gets in will be regarded as illegitimate by half the electorate, and will have a perfectly miserable time trying to govern.
