There's No Value Anywhere.. Forget Biotechs, short the planet

The Barron's article was provocative and forces one to ask deeper questions about all markets. What's the value of any stock, what's the value of anything? Not much. Watching the futures once again fall on election worries and HP's lousy sub 20% growth rate, it occured to me that in addition to dumping all my stocks I should sell everthing else I have.

Just in case anyone's interested here's a partial list.

1. A nice sail boat.
2. Some great 33 rpm records from the 60's and 70's
3. Mountain climbing gear
4. Collectible photos of various places around the world
5. A good library of books on many subjects
6. About six useful but very slow computers, Z 80's, 80286..
7. A freezer full of 1999 vegetables.. pre Y2k

The fact is very few things have any long term value. Every company in the market may one day vanish in a puff of analyst smoke. Everything is temporary, or at least from this side of the grave its hard to find contrary evidence.

Short the whole market, get your money out now.. then short the currency as inflation will constantly erode value over time.

OK.. there's this great little company I'm putting it all into. They've got three patents on pessismism and field trials are going great. Insiders are buying like crazy and its going to go through the roof.. its IPO was over subscribed and its discussed in various threads here on SI under a hundred different symbols. Gotta go now...
