Why should Republicans want a manual recount of any kind? They won the election and won the machine recount. Punch card voting exists only in Democrat leaning districts (one can only speculate why) and always create more votes for the Democrat with each recount. (Again, we can only speculate why that is.) Republican leaning districts have more modern equipment and tend to stay consistent with the original numbers.
