DIVA ADSL Products Compatible with Copper Mountain's CopperEdge
ADSL Line Card
Eicon Technology Corporation, a leading worldwide provider of
Internet access products, announced the interoperability of its
DIVA ADSL USB and DIVA 2400 series, which includes the DIVA 2430
ADSL Modem, with Copper Mountain Networks' (Nasdaq: CMTN)
CopperEdge(R) ADSL Line Card. Copper Mountain develops and
markets a comprehensive family of Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)
solutions that enable carriers and service providers to deliver
cost-effective, high-performance data and voice services over
existing copper telephone wiring.
Eicon's DIVA ADSL modems have been certified as
CopperCompatible(TM) by Copper Mountain, meaning that telcos and
ISPs who standardize on Copper Mountain's family of CopperEdge DSL
concentrators can deploy Eicon's ADSL products and take advantage
of the modems' excellent performance, particularly over long
copper-line reaches. Eicon's DIVA ADSL modems provide high-speed
data access to telecommuters and home office users, who are
seeking to access corporate networks over the Internet, all with
minimum effort.

The DIVA 2430 and DIVA ADSL USB Modems are user-friendly broadband
Internet access devices. You just plug them in, and then
Plug-and-Play installation wizards take over, allowing users to
connect and surf in very short order.

DIVA 2430 ADSL Modem
The DIVA 2430 is easily installed and comes with a user-friendly
set-up wizard. Additional ease-of-use features include the DIVA
Assistant that provides performance data as well as assisting in
the diagnosing of network events. The DIVA 2430 is equipped with
one Ethernet 10BaseT port and one USB port to accommodate various
installations. The USB connection does away with the need for a
network interface card, which further simplifies the installation
process. It is G.Lite and Full-Rate compliant. All computers can
connect via the Ethernet port. An optional telephone port with
micro-filter facilitates fax installation and preserves
transmission quality on a telephone or fax connected to the DIVA
2430.
DIVA ADSL USB
Eicon's Diva ADSL USB provides Plug-and-Play support via the USB
interface. It requires no external power supply, being powered
from the USB bus. The DIVA ADSL USB offers G.Lite and Full-Rate
Internet access, and is compatible with PPPoE and PPPoA. The
integrated phone port allows you to make a call or send a fax
while you are connected to the Internet. The DIVA ADSL USB also
transparently supports Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology on
Microsoft(R) Windows(R) platforms.
