Saw this via ace's: aceshardware.com Micron's Chipsets Plans [3:59 am] Rat Micron used to develop its chipsets for research purposes only without letting them out on the open market. Now it has finally decided to turn to manufacturing chipsets for AMD Athlon platform. The thing is that Micron didn’t have a license to use Intel s processor bus, so the company couldn’t sell its chipsets earlier. And presently AMD has solved the problem having launched CPUs with high performance rates, so Micron plans to announce three chipsets supportig this platfom next year: xbitlabs.com Three Athlon chipsets from Micron next year! Including one with integrated graphics. That makes 6 Athlon chipset makers: Nvidia, Micron, Via, Ali, SIS, and of course AMD.
