I know how you feel. The odds though at this point favor a turn up. The election will be resolved at some point and the pundits will start saying a divided government will favor markets. The Fed probably will lower rates or at least tilt by the end of the year given the damage to the markets and the burst of the bubble. It always looks the worst at the bottom just as it looked so rosy 8 months ago. I'm into stuff that is all near or at lows so I feel comfortable. I will add to positions depending on how trading goes. (Actually, I've been writing puts on stocks that have been hammered to give myself some protection.) Good luck.
