I should say that there is no good explanation for lack of any 1.2G SKUs from Compaq/HP.

I fear that there is a good reason, and that reason is low yields at 1.2 Ghz. However, is is also very likely that they are waiting for infrastructure to catch up. If Micron can not ship a 1.2 Ghz system with 266 DDR for 56 days, what hope does Compaq and HP have? They should announce in another month, or so.
