That would make the Republican party just about as popular as they were in 1974" Scumbria, suppose Gore wins because the only counties in Florida that get a recount are heavily Democratic, while the 10,000s of votes that were thrown out for mechanical problems in other heavily Republican counties go uncounted. The Democratic party will be about as popular as they were in 1980. EP
