I have a serious problem with the Democratic Party constantly trying to absolve people of their personal responsibilities. For example: it would seem to me that anyone who has the right to vote also has the right to assure that their vote is made properly; and, should it be made improperly it would then become moot. Now, we have the Democrats claiming that their people not only didn't read the instructions on the ballot properly; but, failed to request an additional ballot to correct their mistakes in a timely fashion. In fact, one can only conclude that they didn't even know that a mistake had been made until much later when someone pointed out to them that a mistake was possible. Why is it so typical of the Democrats to want to absolve people of such personal responsibilities? They take the same stance on nearly every issue. Take for example abortion: a woman has an inalienable right of choice; should she wish to get pregnant, she can have sex. Should she wish not to get pregnant, she can refuse to engage in the procedure that causes pregnancy. However, the Democrats claim, in essence, that she should not have to be held responsible for such a decision. Maybe I'm wrong when I say that people should be held responsible for their own decisions.
