I hope you didn't do that based on this rumor! Don't forget that the news comes from the register, not cnet, not yahoo, reuters or any news giant.

BTW nobody thinks that the P4 is maxed out at 1.3GHz here I think that it's as foolish to beleive in that than to beleive in a 2GHz P4 in January. Intel doesn't need to do that to sell all it produces. The only reason to do that is to try to screw AMD. But if they screw AMD they screw PIII even more. And don't forget that the the palomino could be a serious contender to the P4 even with a 400MHz gap. The computer press won't close their eyes on a 1.33GHz CPU outperforming a 1.7GHz one... they'll say the 1.7GHz is far from being the best bang for the buck.

OTOH - If Intel executes well in Q1 (no problems with P4, good volumes of P!!!, .13u mobile end Q2), I have to admit that Intel could go back in the 60's. But never forget PIII when you think to P4.
