"In essence, they are afraid of right-wing white backlash. And I agree with that." This is what is sad, and a little bit scary to me. In essence, it sounds like you are saying that white republicans are racists (which they would be if they penalized black Americans with a "right-wing white backlash"). I suggest that this sounds more like rhetoric coming from people like Jesse Jackson, who seem to whip up class warfare flames to further their own political causes.
